Wacktory VR Characters

Player characters for the award winning VR/couch co-op game, Wacktory! I modeled both the VR character and the robot that couch players control. In Wacktory, players work together in a frantic factory environment to send orders out. I acted as character artist, modeling both the characters in the game, and lead artist, helping direct the team towards an art style that fit the mischievous nature of the game. We decided to give the game a cartoon-ish feeling that emphasized the silly gameplay and interactions.

And the game is out on Steam!

The couch player was one of the first things I properly modeled from reference images with no retopology. Concept art for the character was created by Terence So.

Some concept art for VR player model. We spent very little time on this, as establishing a cartoon-y art style helped us determine what we wanted quickly.
